Today is a much-watched day by college basketball fans around the country. It's the day that many college players must announce their intentions for the upcoming NBA draft.

Back in March, first-team All-American Keegan Murray announced that he would forego the remainder of his college career at the University of Iowa to enter the NBA draft.

In mid-April, Keegan's twin brother Kris revealed his intent to investigate the NBA draft. Projected as a Top 50 player, Iowa fans were feeling angst. That uneasiness didn't subside before today. Would Kris return to the Iowa Hawkeyes this fall or instead throw his talents into the NBA draft?

The June 23 draft will have to wait. Kris is coming back to the Hawks. He made the announcement on Twitter Thursday afternoon. His tweet read:

“These past two months have been a tremendous learning process for me,” said Murray. “By going through the NBA Draft process, I believe that it will help me in the long run and this upcoming season at Iowa. I can’t wait to get back to work with my teammates and coaches to play for the best fan base in the world. Go Hawks!”

All together Hawks fans... "WHEW!"

Kris Murray will be part of a Hawkeye frontcourt that's lacking in size and/or experience. The 6'8" Murray is joined by 6'9" Filip Rebraca who returns for a 5th season of college hoops after transferring from North Dakota prior to last season. Iowa has two 6'11 players on the roster, junior Josh Ogundele and sophomore Riley Mulvey. Neither has seen much time on the court, although both showed improvement throughout last season.

While the wait for the next college basketball season continues, Iowa fans will all be focusing on June 23 to see how high Keegan Murray goes in the NBA draft. His brother Kris will be anxiously awaiting that news, as well.
