2019 Billboard Music Awards host Kelly Clarkson took to the Las Vegas red carpet on Wednesday (May 1), in advance of her hosting gig for the evening.

This is Clarkson's second consecutive year hosting the show, and she will also be performing during the broadcast. Clarkson wore an all-black gown with her hair half up-half down and was all smiles as she waved to cameras.

"I had so much fun hosting the Billboard Music Awards last year that I'm back for more," Clarkson says in a press release. "We're turning it up a notch this year and I can't wait to celebrate all of my fellow amazing artists for another unforgettable night of live music."

In an interview with ET Canada, Clarkson describes the numerous empowering female artists being honored and performing this year that she's excited to see. The one-time American Idol winner is ready to host once again — just one of her multiple different jobs.

"I think I do so many different jobs right now," she admits. "I'm doing a really good job I feel like, of staying present in the one that's happening in the moment. I don't look at my schedule until the night before."

Clarkson recently walked another red carpet for her new movie with fellow Voice judge Blake Shelton, UglyDolls. In the film, she plays Moxy, a pink doll who's the leader of the pack. She contributed three songs to the film's soundtrack, including a duet with Janelle Monae.

Clarkson recently finished her Meaning of Life North American Tour alongside Kelsea Ballerini.
