Ron Swanson is coming to Iowa.

I know that actor Nick Offerman has starred in countless other projects on the big and small screen, including the popular HBO series 'The Last of Us'. But I can't look at the guy and NOT see his character, Ron Swanson from the NBC series 'Parks and Rec'.

But it turns out that Swanson...I mean, Offerman is much more than just an Emmy-winning actor. He is also a best-selling author, and that is what will bring him to Iowa later this fall.

What Books has Nick Offerman Written?

Just like his character on 'Parks and Rec', Offerman loves woodworking. The Des Moines Register reports that Offerman is a New York Times best-selling author for books including 'Paddle Your Own Canoe', 'Gumption', 'Good Clean Fun', and 'Where the Deer and Antelope Play'. He has even co-written a book with his wife, actress Megan Mulally, called 'The Greatest Love Story Ever Told'.

The Register reports that Offerman will appear in Des Moines on October 14th for Beaverdale Books. He is celebrating his latest book, 'Little Woodchucks', an illustrated guide to woodworking. To ensure there is enough room, Beaverdale Books has reserved the auditorium on the northwest corner of the Franklin Events Center, according to the Register.
