Which NFL Teams Do Eastern Iowans Love Most?
In Iowa, we don't have any professional sports teams. Sure, we have minor league affiliates, but no teams that are part of a professional sports league. It's one reason we love our Hawkeyes and Cyclones so much! It also puts Iowa NFL fans in a unique position. With no home state team that you might feel obligated to cheer for, you can take your fandom wherever you like!

What Other Teams Do Iowans Root For?
Another obvious choice would be NFL teams that former Hawkeye and Cyclone players get drafted by. Brock Purdy and George Kittle in San Francisco or Cooper DeJean out in Philly are great examples.
Iowa NFL fans also like to cheer for teams that are winners and are popular. So while the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens are nowhere near the state of Iowa, because they are good teams led by star players like Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, fans in Iowa become fans.
