Brain & Courtlin Will Try a Brand New Restaurant for September Listener Lunch
Another month of Listener Lunch is complete, leaving only THREE more in 2026!
This week, we wrapped up August Listener Lunch at a new restaurant in Tiffin called Cornerstone Pub. We had some delicious food throughout the month, but it's time for us to move on!
For the second month in a row, we'll be visiting a restaurant that's brand new. Only, this time, it'll be in Linn County! In the month of September, our Listener Lunch will be held at...
Rip's Bar & Grill in Cedar Rapids!

About Rip's
Rip's Bar & Grill is located at 5761 C St SW, the previous home of Jerseys Pub & Grub. The sports bar & restaurant just opened its doors in July, with the official grand opening celebration held earlier this month.
While they haven't posted any photos of their food on their social media pages yet, the restaurant's menu is available to view on their website. It contains classic bar fare, like nachos, wings, burgers, sandwiches, tenderloins, and fried appetizers, as well as pizza. The menu features a build-your-own pizza option, but you can also choose from one of their specialty pizzas, including Taco, Philly Cheesesteak, Chicken Bacon Ranch, Buffalo Chicken, and 'The Champ,' which is topped with sausage, jalapenos, red onions, and their house-made sweet jalapeno sauce. YUM!

How to Win Listener Lunch
If you and up to six of your coworkers (or friends, family, etc.) would like to join us for Listener Lunch in the month of September, all you have to do is get signed up! We meet on Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m., and, if you're chosen, we will call you the Friday ahead of your lunch to confirm that you can make it. At lunch, we will pick up the tab for your group's food and beverages (except for alcohol... sorry!). You can get signed up for 2026 Listener Lunch HERE.
