A Popular Cedar Rapids Dog Bakery Now Has Its Own Storefront

A popular stop for pet owners at NewBo City Market in Cedar Rapids recently relocated... but they didn't go far! The Barkery now has its very own storefront in the Czech Village!

Over the weekend, I was doing some shopping at NewBo City Market, when I noticed that a familiar shop was missing. The Barkery was GONE! I was surprised, until I made my way over to the Czech Village a short while later. That's when I noticed that The Barkery has a brand new location!

Last month, the Barkery announced on social media that they had opened their new shop at 76 16th Ave SW, the former location of Harlequin Home Consignment Shop. The NewBo location remained open until early September, but is now officially closed. The Bakery can also be found at Cedar Rapids Downtown Farmers Markets during the summer months.

About The Barkery

The Barkery is a bakery that specializes in "locally made, all natural dog and cat treats." The business' Facebook page says, "we use whole foods, organic and non GMO ingredients for everything we make!!"

In addition to homemade treats and "pup-cakes," the Bakery also sells other snacks for your pet, as well as pet accessories, toys, home decor, and human clothing! And, if you decide to stop in, make sure you bring your companion with you! A post from the Bakery on Facebook says:

"Don't forget to bring in your fur babies we would love to see them!"

Store Hours

According to the Google listing, The Barkery's current business hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For the latest updates, check out the official Facebook page HERE.
