An Eastern Iowa Farm Has Added Life-Size Bird Houses [PHOTOS]

Bloomsbury Farm in Atkins has all sorts of fun activities for kids and families. There's the Super Slide, the Jumping Pillow, Straw Mountain, the Corn Palace, Barnyard Buddies, mini-golf, and a whole lot more. But, there's a new addition to Bloomsbury Farm this spring... life-size bird houses!

According to their announcement last week, Bloomsbury Farm is in the process of setting up several HUGE bird houses for kids to play in! The post says that the houses just arrived a few weeks ago and they're working to put them in their spots for the 2023 season. Based on the photos in the comments, plenty of kids got to try the bird houses out already during the farm's Bunny Bash event. Facebook user Laura Ludeking wrote, "My kids literally played in those the ENTIRE time we were there at Easter," and Kristin Carpenter said, "My 'birds' loved playing in them last weekend!"

Bloomsbury Farm's next big event is Baby Animal Days, which will run weekends from May 19th through June 4th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be "lambs, baby goats, chicks, ducks, calves, kittens, & more," plus wine, beer, and slushies and other fun farm activities. That includes the life-size bird houses! The Baby Animal Days Flash Sale will take place May 8th at 8 a.m. through 11:59 p.m. on May 11th. You'll be able to save over 35% on passes when you buy them online HERE. There will also be VIP experiences for Baby Animal Days that will be available to purchase on Saturdays.
