Everyone gets to feel Irish on Saint Patrick's Day. This is one of my favorite holidays of the year. Enjoy yourself some Corn Beef and Cabbage, grab a Guinness, and wear your green loud and proud. If Saint Patrick's Day snuck up on you this year and you're wondering what to do to celebrate, there are plenty of events for you to choose from.

March 16 - Saint Patrick's Dinner at NewBo City Market

The Doors will be open at 6:00 pm, starting with appetizers, with dinner at 6:30. "Dress in green and join us in a celebration of St. Patrick's Day! The menu will be full of Irish Classics. Corned Beef and Cabbage Slider from Torch Kitchen and Irish Colcannon by Grandma's Root Cellar to name a few. You can see the full menu list on this website.

March 17 - St. Patty's Day Stroll in Cedar Falls Downtown District

If you want to be a winner on Thursday, this day stroll is for you. "Each participating location will have 100 scratch-off tickets for you to be a winner." Stop by any of the twenty-two participating locations. This event lasts from 5-8 p.m.

March 17 - Elkader St. Patrick's Day Parade

This parade starts at 5:30 pm and will run from Peace Church to Wilke's. This event is free to attend, but they do hope you wear your green. They also recommend showing up no later than 5 pm.

March 17 - Let's Tie Dye at Newbo City Market

If you're looking to try something different you can bring your friends and family to Newbo City Market and try some Tie-Dying. We'd love to see your St Patrick's Day-themed shirts on any K92.3 social media pages or message us on your K92.3 app. This event lasts from 3-7 p.m. "Food and Drinks will be available for purchase from Market Vendors as well as Newbo Beer and Wine."

March 17 - Sip & Paint Class: "Shamrockin"

This event is inside of the Rotary Hall and you get to test out your painting skills. Thankfully, if you're like me and can't paint a stick figure, no experience is necessary. All materials will be provided for you as well. Your $30 ticket includes a coupon for NewBo Beer and Wine. "It’s less about making a masterpiece, and more about getting out of the house for a dang good time!"

March 17 - Last Call Party Band at Rumors

Here is your chance to see and hear some live music. Last Call Party Band will be performing at Rumors starting around 4. They play a variety of music, you'll be sure to hear something you enjoy.

March 17 - Spicoli's Karaoke and Taco Night at Electric Park Ballroom

Whether you have the voice of an angel or are completely tone-deaf, you can sing your heart out at the Electric Park Ballroom this St. Patrick's Day. They've worked extremely hard to bring back new events and can't wait to see you at anything they have coming up. If Irish food isn't quite your style enjoy tacos, starting at 6 p.m, and will be served while supplies last. Even on a day to celebrate the Irish... you can't go wrong with tacos.

March 19 - St. Patrick's Celebration at Volga City Opera House

If you've never celebrated St. Patrick's Day in an opera house, here's your chance. This event starts at 11 a.m with fun games and Irish music and there will be a meal of choice. Corned Beef or Shepherds Pie for $20 ($5 for kids) and full bar service will be available. Volga City Opera House is just a short drive east of Cedar Falls and a reminder this event is the Saturday after St. Patrick's Day. "Tickets are available to purchase at the door"

Find your favorite green attire and enjoy all of these great St. Patrick's Day events this week. Please remember to drink responsibly and plan a sober ride home.
