Are There Any Iowa Contestants on ‘The Golden Bachelorette’ This Season?
The ABC dating show 'The Golden Bachelor' followed one older gentleman on a search for a new love. During the first season, we got a glimpse into Gerry Turner's attempt to find someone to spend the rest of his life with.
Turns out, Turner had some Iowa connections. You can read more about that here.
“I am from Iowa, but I currently live on a beautiful lake in Indiana. I love all lake activities! I enjoy taking my grandkids on pontoon boat rides and doing jet ski races with them."
Unfortunately, that search did not turn out to be successful. Turner ended up marrying Theresa Nist, but the couple announced they'd be divorcing after just a few months of marital bliss.
Now the Ladies Will Get a Shot at It
While the 'Golden Bachelor' marriage was not a success, the show was!
As a result, ABC officials announced that they would be giving the ladies a chance to run the show!
'The Golden Bachelorette' will premiere on ABC on September 18th. This series will follow 61-year-old Joan Vassos and her 24 suitors of a certain age with a goal of finding "the one."
One of those men who will be vying for Vassos' heart is Jonathan from Iowa!
A Little Bit About Jonathan
The 61-year-old calls Oakland, Iowa home. Oakland is on the western part of the state near Council Bluffs and right around the border of Nebraska.
Jonathan is a shipping consultant.
Unfortunately, that is all we know about Jonathan at the moment. The Bachelor Nation team have not released last names or any additional information about these suitors.
What we do know that Jonathan considers himself a "hopeless romantic."
"I feel like I'm very mindful and want to do thoughtful things for the person that I love," the Iowa contestant said in a social media video.
We will make sure to update you on more information about this Iowa contestant, once it is released to the public.
In the meanwhile, make sure to check out all of the members of Bachelor Nation who called the Hawkeye State home here.
