Florida Georgia Line teamed up with the Backstreet Boys on Ellen to perform their latest hit, "God, Your Mama and Me," on Tuesday (June 6).

"What do you get when you mix the hottest duo in country music with one of the most successful boy bands of all time?" DeGeneres asked rhetorically by way of introduction. The singers kept it casual for their appearance, joining their voices together in a performance that features Tyler Hubbard's voice out front, with his partner Brian Kelley and the members of BSB blending for some ethereal harmonies and call-and-response vocal tags.

The song is the third single from FGL's mega-hit third studio album, Dig Your Roots, which saw them taking on a new musical maturity when they released it in August of 2016. Written by Josh Kear, Hillary Lindsey and Gordie Sampson, "God, Your Mama and Me" currently sits at No. 4 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.

Hubbard says he and Kelley were instantly drawn to the song when they heard it.

“‘God, Your Mama, and Me’ is just such a well-written song. A song that when we heard it, we fell in love with it. We never really heard it said that way, you know, and heard it put that way, but it’s so true and that’s how we felt about our wives and just naturally drawn to that song,” he said in a video posted to Instagram.

FGL are engaging in even more cross-pollination of genres on the road on their Smooth Tour this summer with Chris LaneRyan Hurd, “Yours” singer Russell Dickerson and Morgan Wallen. Rapper Nelly will appear on certain dates, and Backstreet Boys will also join the tour for select stadium shows.
