
Elevated Fire Danger Wednesday Afternoon
With low levels of humidity and winds gusting 35-40 MPH, the National Weather Service in Des Moines says that there is an Elevated Fire Danger today. (Wednesday).
According to the NWS:
The burning of brush is NOT recommended as fires may spread rapidly and become uncontrollable.
The highest wind gusts will occur before 2 PM and will taper off later in the afternoon.
