Ejim Scores Record 48 Points as ISU Beats TCU, 84-69 (Video)
The No. 17 Iowa State Cyclones (18-4, 6-4) beat the TCU Horned Frogs (9-13, 0-10), 84-69, on Saturday, February 8, 2014. Melvin Ejim set a new Big 12 single game scoring record, 48 points.
Ejim was hot from the field making 20 of 24 shots, and he grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds to lead the Cyclones to their sixth Big 12 win on the season. It was Ejim's 30th career double-double.
Georges Niang was the only other Cyclone with double digits scoring 11 points.
DeAndra Kane finished with 10 assists
The Cyclones were flexing their muscle in the paint. ISU score 48 points underneath the hoop.
Next Up: The Iowa State Cyclones will be back at t Monday night when they travel to West Virginia University.
