Green was named the league's Preseason Player of the Year after earning the honor last season. Phyfe landed on the 2020-21 Preseason First Team while Trae Berhow landed on the Preseason Third Team.
UNI received votes in both the preseason Associated Press (one vote) and the USA Today Coaches (eight votes) poll.
