If you're the creative type that loves arts and crafts, there's a place opening in Cedar Rapids where you can let your creativity flow.
It's called Pinspiration, and it's a unique crafting studio where you can do all sorts of projects. It's perfect for all ages and all skill levels. There are even other fun things to do like a splatter room and canvas painting. There's no word yet on exactly when we can expect this fun new business to open, but the website says "soon." Here's what you need to know:
How does Pinspiration work?
It's pretty simple. First, you'll want to make a reservation. You can walk-in but reservations are recommended. Then, you choose your DIY project that ranges from "art, decor, gifts, and accessories." Not everyone in your group has to do the same thing either. Everyone chooses their own project! Next, just have fun! The project kits are provided for you and there are tutorials and supplies to help you create your project.
Can you eat or drink while crafting at Pinspiration?
Yes! The Cedar Rapids location will offer an on-site snack and beverage bar (that includes adult beverages). You can relax, craft, and enjoy some nice adult beverages with friends.
Can you have parties and events at Pinspiration?
You betcha! Every studio space has a special VIP room. There you can host a variety of events from kids parties, bridal showers, corporate events, fundraisers, and more! You can find out more here.
Here's a video to give you a better idea of what you can expect at Pinspiration in Cedar Rapids.
The Cedar Rapids Pinspiration location will be the first one in the state! Owner Carrie, is a Cedar Rapids native who fell in love with Pinspiration because it removed crafting obstacles like "lack of space and equipment, a fear of failure, inherent hassles of shopping for supplies, and the mess." Carrie also loved how Pinspiration engages the community to collectively DIY. Hence, a new location opening right here in Cedar Rapids. We can't wait to start crafting!
