Powell’s Books in Portland, Oregon, has created a fragrance that has the smell of old books with hints of wood and violet.

With many bookstores closed due to the ongoing pandemic, there can be something comforting and nostalgic about the smell of a bookstore and older pages of books. The scent that this fragrance is attempting to emulate is the like the organic materials in books (like wood pulp) reacting with light, heat and water over time.

It is available for pre-order and will be sold in-store beginning November 27. It's $24.99 for a one-ounce bottle.

According to CNN, since launching the product for pre-order on Sunday, Powell's has already received 1,225 orders.
