Breaking News: Body Found in Cedar River Identified
A tragedy struck the Cedar Valley on Thursday evening.
One man is dead after falling into the Cedar River whilst fishing.
According to the Center for Disease Control, there are more than 4,000 unintentional drowning deaths every single year in the United State.
Officials from the Waterloo Police Department were called to a location along the Cedar River regarding a life-threatening situation just last week.
According to reports, on the evening of Thursday, September 5th, law enforcement responded to a call from the Waterloo Boat House, not too far from the Cedar River Exchange Park, at approximately 7:30 PM.
The man was fishing along the river when he fell into the waters.
Multiple news reports allege that he must have suffered some sort of medical emergency or event prior to the fall.
Once officials pulled the person out of the river, he was pronounced dead on the scene.
The identity of this man has been revealed to the public.
Reginald Fox was the individual whose life was cut short due to some sort of medical emergency or condition, which caused him to collapse into the river, according to reports.
