Last month, it was announced that Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan would return as judges for the 21st season of American Idol on ABC. We now know an Iowa favorite on the show will again sing for the three superstars, as she attempts to get back to Hollywood for a second straight season.

Haley Myles (Haley Slaton when she auditioned last season) of Cedar Rapids was 5 1/2 months pregnant when she performed for the judges. American Idol posted Haley's audition from last season again early this morning:

Haley made it through the first week of Hollywood last season and ended up being paired in the duets round with Winterset, Iowa native Sam Moss. Unfortunately, Haley didn't advance but immediately signaled she wasn't through:

Last season was about so much more than singing for Haley. She met Jordan Myles while auditioning in 2021. They got married, and early this year Haley gave birth to her son Jaelyn:

Jaelyn turned 7 months old last week. Would you just look at the smiles on the faces of Jaelyn and Jordan?!

Last week, Haley auditioned on Zoom for Idol Across America. Afterward, she shared the good news with me that she "got chosen to go to Las Vegas to go in front of the judges in September!"

Congrats on the first step to returning to the American Idol stage, Haley! We'll all be hoping for your return to Hollywood next season. And congratulations on one great-looking family.
