Big Night in the West Gym for UNI Wrestling [VIDEO]

The University of Northern Iowa Panthers wrestling team is gearing up for a huge dual meet in the West Gym Friday night (01/16/2015). No. 6 Virginia Tech comes to Cedar Falls on Military Appreciation night.

Roling Ford will give fans camouflage hats while supplies last in honor of Military Appreciation Night. At intermission, fans will witness a ceremony from the Iowa National Guard.

“We don’t take that lightly. When we put on those singlets designed to represent the military, it means something to us,” said UNI wrestling coach Doug Schwab.

"There are some pretty big matches," coach Schwab added. "Dylan Peters gets to wrestle a kid that has bet him twice. There are not many guys that have beat him multiple times, so I know he is looking forward to that match.

"Up and down their line-up they are pretty strong" coach Schwab said about Virginia Tech. "They have quite a few ranked guys."

Virginia Tech is projected to wrestler six wrestlers ranked in the top 20.
