Alison Sweeney Leaving Days of Our Lives?

After more than two decades as an actress on Days of Our Lives, Alison Sweeney, who plays Sami Brady, is ready to leave the show. The Biggest Loser host, who's 37, broke the news on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Tuesday.

Sweeney was only 16 when she first first made her appeared as Sami Brady on the NBC soap opera.  She told Ellen DeGeneres that she loved Sami, and that she still loved daytime television.  It all boiled down to family.

I have worked so much and my daughter just turned 5 and my son is 9, and I just want to be with them."

For the last seven years, Sweeney has been doing double duty as a Days of Our Lives cast member and as a host of NBC's The Biggest Loser.

So how does Sweeney think Sami should be written off of the show?

It would be awesome to have some sort of happy ending," she said. "But I also think Sami probably deserves some sort of very twisted, like Breaking Bad ending. I don't know. She caused a lot of people a lot of problems."
