Sweet New Cedar Falls Restaurant Opens
It's official! One of the newest additions to downtown Cedar Falls is officially open for business.
It is getting difficult to keep track of all the businesses coming and going in the Cedar Valley.
We shared with you last month that Carter House Market & Cafe closed its doors mid-September "temporarily." A week later David's Taphouse & Dumplings shut down as well.
Luckily, it looks like the closures seem to be tapering off for the time being...
A new spot has opened right in the heart of Downtown Cedar Falls. Big Açaí, an açaí bowl franchise is coming to the Cedar Valley.
According to the business' website, "our mission is to help you create healthy, delicious treats in great tasting bowls, smoothies, toasts and coffees primarily using organic, plant-based ingredients."
Açaí Bowls are vegan sorbet topped with banana, granola, and additional toppings.
Big Açaí has ten locations in Iowa so far, and the Cedar Falls location is its eleventh. The Iowa locations include stores in:
- Ames
- Ankeny
- Downtown Des Moines
- West Des Moines
- Fairfield
- Johnston
- Pella
- Marshalltown (Mobile Cafe)
- Okojobi (Mobile Cafe)
- Arnolds Park
The newest Cedar Falls spot is located at 100 East 2nd Street Suite 106. Staff celebrated the opening day on Friday, October 21st. Going forward, the restaurant will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00AM to 6:00PM.
