2023’s Top Cheeseburger Restaurant in Iowa Has Been Revealed

Earlier this year, the Iowa Beef Industry Council named Flight Bar + Grille in Huxley as the restaurant with the best burger in Iowa for 2023. But, they're not the only Iowa eatery with delicious burgers!

Yelp recently published a list of 2023's top cheeseburgers in all 50 states based on reviews from their site. The article explains exactly how they chose their winners:

"We identified businesses in the food and restaurants category on Yelp, with a large concentration of reviews mentioning 'cheeseburger,' then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews mentioning 'cheeseburger,' between January 1, 2023 and July 20, 2023."

Based on those factors, the winning restaurant here in Iowa is a place called Burger Shop! It's located at 1255 Northwest 128th Street in Clive.

Burger Shop in Clive first opened its doors in early 2023, with the official grand opening happening on February 18th. Since then, the restaurant has received a ton of positive reviews online. It has 4.6 stars on Yelp, 5 stars on Facebook, and 4.8 stars on Google Reviews. Google user Shilpa B. writes:

"Wonderful place. We had the veggie bean burger, and it was fresh, delicious, and made just right. The onion rings, however, steal the show. The mango habanero sauce is a must-try. Great service and relaxed ambiance ensure you always have a great experience! And everything is reasonably priced."

Other recommendations from customers include the Jalapeno Cheeseburger, Bacon Cheeseburger, Blue Buffalo Cheeseburger, and Hawaiian Burger.
