Every single pet parent thinks that their animal is the smartest, cutest, and best creature on the planet.

Well, I have actual proof that my kittens are actually the smartest, cutest, and overall best creatures on the planet!

In October, I welcomed to kittens into my home. Their names are August and Cornelia. I named them after my two favorite Taylor Swift songs.

August or Auggie is the orange boy cat and Cornelia is the gray girl kitten.

Over the past few months, we've turned into a little family. They make me laugh every single day, and I'm so grateful to have them!

A Recent Development

Recently, I learned that I might have been duped! I thought I got kittens, but I might have gotten a puppy instead!

Let me explain...

I was laying in my bed after finishing up my work one day entirely exhausted. Usually, I like to play with the kittens as soon as I get home, but on this day, I was dead on my feet.

So, I just set myself up in bed and prepared to conk out for an hour or two.

Of course, Auggie and Corn had other plans.

I heard the cats running around my one-bedroom apartment with a crazy case of the zoomies. One of their favorite spots to sprint to when they have all of that energy is right to my bedroom window.

And the easiest route for these two hell-raisers to take to get to the window is right across my bed (and my head). This time, Auggie came up to me with those big eyes that he has and his little fluffy red ball in his mouth.

He dropped it right on my chest and looked up at me. For a moment we just stared at each other.

I needed some peace to nap, and I wasn't going to get that if he just stayed right there staring at me. So, I tossed the ball into my living room thinking it would get both of the cats out of my way.

August RETURNED the ball to me and wanted to play fetch! We did this a few times, and he got such a kick out of it. Watch the video down below!

Now, every single day we have to play fetch a few times before I can lay down for a nap!

The weirdest thing about this is that he only plays fetch with that scruffy red ball. I've tried to throw other toys to see if he'd return them, but he only does it with that specific ball!

Does your cat play fetch or can he or she do any strange tricks? Let us know!
