If you're driving around Cedar Falls, you might notice something is a bit different about a local favorite restaurant.

Customers started noticing a new sign outside of the award-winning BBQ spot Starbeck's in Cedar Falls late last month.

Starbeck's Smokehouse has been a foodie favorite in the area for years. The BBQ joint offers a selection of slow-roasted ribs, smoked pork, and "succulent chicken." All of these delicious dishes are prepared with various seasonings, sauces, and rubs.

This restaurant is located at 6607 University Avenue in Cedar Falls, but now there's a different sign on the front...with a whole new name.

The sign on the front no longer reads "Starbeck's" across the top. Now it says, "Cindy Lou's BBQ."

Now, I know what you might be thinking...Did Starbeck's shut down its Cedar Falls location?

No, not exactly...

According to the restaurant's social media page, the name is the only thing really changing about the restaurant. The menu remains unchanged, the logo, as well as the interior and exterior designs of the restaurant.

"As we embark on this exciting journey with our NEW NAME, we assure you the warmth, quality, and flavor you’ve come to love is still the same," an official from Cindy Lou's said on Facebook.

They say that they are offering the "same great BBQ" just with a new name.

Starbeck's opened a location in Waterloo during the summer on 250th Westfield Avenue. There are no changes expected at that location anytime soon.
