The grocery store that already does so much to help save customers money is going to be doing even more this summer!

If you aren't someone who regularly shops at Aldi for groceries, the summer of 2024 will be the perfect time to start. Just remember to bring your own grocery bags and a quarter to rent a cart. Don't worry, you'll get the quarter back when you're done shopping.

Aldi already does a variety of things to help keep their prices low. Did you know 90% of Aldi products are from a private label? They avoid name-brand items to combat higher prices. According to Taste of Home, they source meat from regional farms. Aldi likes to buy locally, which lowers the transportation cost of the meat, which then lowers the cost for their customers.

There are tons of other things Aldi does to help combat higher prices that we might not even realize. How they box their groceries, their marketing campaign, the store hours, the decoration in the store, etc.

Dave Rinaldo is the president at Aldi U.S. and he said now is the right time to try and help customers save.

"Aldi is always looking for ways to help customers save money, but with more experts warning of persistent inflation, the time was right to deliver even greater discounts on our already low prices for the second year in a row. We don’t want food prices to hold people back from getting together with friends and family or spending time outdoors this season."

As the weather warms up in Iowa, you can expect some of these reduced prices to also be applied to seasonal items. If you're trying to spend time outside having a picnic, a barbecue, travel snacks, and 'better for you' foods, you'll be able to find reduced prices on many of these items as well.

Alid has increased in popularity over the years which is allowing the company to grow and expand. The store has plans to add 800 more stores nationally over the next 5 years.

Many American families are seeing a real hit to their bank accounts with inflation punching us at almost every turn. Whether we're shopping at the grocery store, putting gas in our cars, maintenance on vehicles, personal care items, healthcare, etc. All of these must-have items have gone up in price.

While Aldi can't help Americans fight inflation alone, it's amazing to see a big chain actually doing something to try and help people by making food as affordable as they can.
